New to the Salvation Army?

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

Key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 9:55am for our Sunday Morning Holiness Service. Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking spot and seat in time for the service to start. We meet again in the early evening at 6:00pm with a more adult focussed worship programme.

We meet at:

Salvation Army
Ethelbert Road
Bromley BR1 1HU

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. The morning meeting has hymns, contribution from our young peoples and adult choirs as well as the Band. There is always a section focussed at the younger members of the congregation too.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served (free of charge) after the service in our Light Cafe (next door) where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

The evening meeting format varies from week to week but there is always a warm welcome and lots of music!

What can my children expect at church?

Children of all ages are welcome in all our meetings. We know children are sometimes restless or noisy, please don't worry.

The morning meeting has a children's item early on with something to engage the younger members of the congregation.

There is normally a Sunday School meeting that children of school age can attend. These children leave the main meeting part way through to have their own activities in the community hall.

It is good to ask the welcome team about activities for your children as you arrive.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Some members of the Salvation Army choose to wear a uniform which can be a powerful tool for evangelism and is also a declaration of their Christian beliefs, however this is an individual choice and is certainly no barrier to worshipping with us.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.

I have more questions, how can I get in touch and ask them.

Please feel free to contact us.
